在一片由男性 DJ 主宰的電音市場裡,本片導演於 2012 年發起「嗆妹」(Raw Chicks)平台,每週安排來自全世界的女 DJ 於人氣夜店 RAW Tempel 輪番上陣,從極簡電音傳思至純種噪音,從露天舞台到室內的迷離光霧,以全光譜樂種突破對電子音樂的既有想像。4 年後,導演以鏡頭再次捕捉這群由她一手促成的柏林嗆妹們,11 位女 DJ 重新詮釋她們對聲響的迷戀,對現場演出的執著,與柏林僅有、視與聽合一的前衛。

Raw Chicks. Berlin shows eleven multifaceted portraits of international Berlin-based female music producers with a focus on live acts. The music spectrum ranges from experimental, via noise-based electronic, to electro-acoustic music. The documentary gives an insight into the diverse and lively current music scene of Berlin and creates a time document, supplementing the often male-dominated historiography by a female perspective.

導演介紹

碧特・克努斯,1976 年生於德國,電影導演、視覺藝術家,她的作品多為故事導向的劇情短片、紀錄片、MV 與錄像,包含曾為現身本片的日本 DJ MimiCof 拍攝 MV。而她關注的對象,不論虛構或寫實,多以女性或其生命經驗相連結。

Beate KUNATH is an award-winning filmmaker and visual artist with a focus content-wise on the documentary. Her works include short fiction films, documentaries, music videos, video installation art and photo series. Most of her protagonists are women with a focus on women’s experience. Forbidden Fruit (2000) is her debut film.

導演的話

人們常常以為電子音樂僅限於鐵克諾或浩室風格。在這部電影裡,我想展現電子音樂的可能性、多樣性,以及我們近幾年在柏林舉辦的「嗆妹」活動裡的種種發現。透過這些定期在各地舉辦的的派對與表演活動,我認識了電影裡這些我認為非常能夠啟發大家靈感的音樂家。我紀錄片裡出現的這11位女性屬於一個更寬廣、更具活力的圈子,人們能在柏林的戶外舞台、夜店、表演廳、畫廊與藝術空間裡發現她們表演的身影,也使我可以輕易地在電影裡注入更多不同音樂面向的敍述。

我從沒見過能有一部展現電子音樂如此多樣化的電影,於是我想也該是時候了。再加上我知道女性在音樂祭或活動表演的比例常常不如男性來得多,因此也給予我動力拍攝這部電影,關於專注於電子音樂世界的女性。

Often people think, electronic music is just techno or house. With the film I wanted to show what electronic music can be, what wide range of music is out there, what we have found over the last years doing our RAW CHICKS events in Berlin. Through these regular party and concert events in very different locations I got to know all these, in my opinion, very inspiring musicians I have in the film now. Those eleven women featured in my documentary, are part of a much larger, vivid scene who can be found performing on Berlin's open air stages and in the city's clubs, concert halls, galleries and art spaces and I could have easily added many more portraits showing different ranges of this kind of music to my film.


Because I have never seen a film about this wide range of electronic music I felt it is time to do it and with the knowledge that women do not show up to the same extent as men in line-ups of music festivals and other musical events, I wanted to do this film exclusively with women in electronic music.
