郊外廢棄的大戲院,燈亮了,演員一一上場,演出一段段的故事。
下樓去,訪見台灣第一部自製台語片《薛平貴與王寶釧》(1956)的主演吳碧玉女士,當年她年方十八,如今一起演出將軍、公主、導演都已不在,可是寶釧能等,等到佚失影片重見天日,偏偏菲林上並非當年親口唱腔。
逃避髮師飛剪的孩兒,從理髮椅、剪接台、一路躲進樟樹女神的裙下。幫忙堆磚的小子,偷偷摸摸進得了戲院下不了戲,一路打工拍電影。
戲樓如鐘樓,時而正走,時而逆轉。樟樹切削熬煮粹煉,竟成菲林主要材料。奔馬之蹄不落地之問,拉開往後菲林盛世。然,山林刀下屑,島嶼俎上肉,電影1895生,福爾摩沙再提問。

台灣彰化人,曾任從事影評、以及文學、劇本創作。1996年開始投入電影製作,作品跨越記錄戲劇類型,有濃烈實驗風格,近年並擴及影像的展演。
CHENG Li-Ming was born in Chang-Hua, Taiwan, a documentary and avant-garde film director. He also writes film reviews and is an award-winning writer for literature and film script. His visual works include Through (2006), Waiting for T.L. (2007), City of Sorrow (2007), Hopscotch (2013), Looking For Siraya (2013) and MATA-The Islan’s Gaze (2018).
