壁癌脫落的房間裡，女人正等著補過的牆面風乾，一邊撫摸著腿上的疤，回憶著一段愛情。結痂的傷痕仍隱隱作痛，耳畔依稀迴盪著戀人昔日的柔情細語，時間凝結在過往的回憶裡，心緒卻如潮水翻湧難息。以水彩與粉彩逐格上色的手繪動畫呈現溫柔影像質地，與情感的痛苦構成強烈對比。藉由修復壁癌的點滴時光，刻畫戀情逝去後創傷平復的漫長。
Gazing at wall cancer and the scar, the woman recalls some ups and downs of love. Girl in the Water is a hand-drawn animation, feminine and at a slow narrative rhythm, painted in watercolor and pastel frame by frame. The warm characteristic of hand drawing contrasts quite markedly with the distress that the main character suffers. The film talks about the convalescence of broken hearts. By the process of fixing wall, viewers are able to experience the journey of convalescence.

獨立動畫導演、插畫家。擅長以手繪動畫將女性感受視覺化，風格宛如被包裹在細膩、柔軟的雲朵中。作品入圍安錫、薩格雷布等國際影展，並且列入國美館典藏。
HUANG Shi-Rou is a freelance animator and illustrator, graduated from Graduate Institute of Animation and Film Art at the Tainan National University of the Arts. She specializes in cel-animation and the combination of hand-drawing with digital creation. Her works include The Shadow (2014), Scar (2017) and Girl in the Water (2021), nominated for the Golden Horse Awards, Taipei Film Awards and selected by Kaohsiung Film Festival.

「失戀」是我們在親密關係中，經常需要面對的難題。我認為這份感受難以用言語形容，因此藉由身體疤痕與牆面壁癌，代替失戀之人道出心聲，彷彿物件與人在心碎時是共存的。並且藉由緩慢的觀影體驗、溫柔質地的手繪細節、場景的置換形變，與視錯覺的感官經驗體現「自我療癒」的魔幻時刻。
