水務員走入神秘大樓查水表，明明是簡單任務卻怪事連連，家家戶戶敲門不應，還有一對雙胞胎不發一語緊緊跟隨。總算有個房間能進去，又被陌生女子一拳打昏，醒時已成階下囚。大樓如迷宮，房間如牢籠，不只在死灰水泥牆與高反差燈光包圍下，散發強烈幽閉恐懼，還有眾多面容慘白、執念纏身、行為瘋狂的住戶們，紛紛阻撓他離開。聽說「管理員」那兒有打開大門的鑰匙，然而為了逃離，水務員也得讓自己成為怪物⋯⋯。
劇場出身的新銳導演，以貝克特「荒謬劇場」式的殘酷幽默與誇張表演，搭配一絲不苟的精準調度與抽象化的極簡場景，駕馭象徵性濃厚的小人物無端落難故事。宛如瑞典電影怪才洛伊安德森遇上卡夫卡小說，每一格都精雕如畫，每一秒都是存在本質提問。
The film is a Kafkaesque tale of an insignificant Water Inspector who arrives at a giant remote building in order to register the residents’ water meters. Before he knows of it, he finds himself trapped inside the building facing an “Alice in NO-Wonderland”-like maze of obstacles. In his attempt to escape, perception of reality, the rational, and the remnants of his human existence is turned upside down.

1983年生於丹麥，現居哥本哈根的電影編導。跨入電影前有劇場導演與演員背景。2017年以畢業短片《In a Month》於丹麥國家電影學院完成學業，並獲多項國內外電影獎項。《迷樓驚魂》為其首部劇情長片。
Jonas Kærup Hjort is a danish director based in Copenhagen, Denmark. He graduated from the National Film School Of Denmark in 2017 with the acclaimed short film In a Month, earning him the Talent Award at Odense International Film Festival. At Copenhagen Next he learned the craft as a Film & TV production assistant. He worked professionally as a theatre director and actor, before getting into the film industry.
