春櫻綺麗，如幻似真。石井裕一與十二歲女兒初次見面，他一眼指認父女間的神似眉目，並熱切渴望重返她的生命；女兒雖然對他毫無記憶，也欣喜接納父親回歸。然而，一切只是母親委託「家庭羅曼史有限公司」的一樁交易。石井為客戶量身扮演角色，共度重要場合、重溫幸福時刻、體驗無緣人生經驗，讓夢想成真。但當母女對他的情感日益強烈，假想已如同真實時，該如何分界？
德國重要導演韋納荷索親自掌鏡，以紀錄片式影像與獨立製片精神，遠赴AI科技環繞生活、情感商品化的國度日本，完成這部探問家庭、人際羈絆的虛實之作。現實身分即是家庭羅曼史有限公司老闆的石井裕一親自扮演自己，更為影片賦予多層次的演出情境，引人思索媒介本質。但如荷索所言，迷人之處在於，儘管一切為假，情感卻永遠是真的。
Love is a business at Family Romance: a company that offers the substitute rental service. Founder ISHII Yuichi helps fulfill the dreams of his clients. Mahiro's mother will hire Ishii to impersonate her missing father. And reality will begin to blur.

導演介紹
1942年生於德國慕尼黑，德國新浪潮代表導演之一。自十九歲完成首部電影後，至今導演、編劇、演員、製片全才，製作超過五十部作品，獲獎無數並橫跨劇情與紀錄片。代表作包括《天譴》、《陸上行舟》、《灰熊人》等。 Born on September 5, 1942, Werner Herzog is a director, writer, producer, actor and poet. He founded his own film production company in 1963. The Enigma of Kasper Hauser (1974) won him the Grand Prize of the Jury at Cannes, while Fitzcarraldo (1982) was awarded the Best Director. Other noted works include Aguirre, the Wrath of God (1972), Grizzly Man (2005), and Encounters at the End of the World (2007), nominated for the Academy Awards.
