阿布的朋友安南病了，趕緊送往鄰近的醫護中心檢查，院方卻只告訴阿布，應該把安南轉往更大、設備更好的醫院檢查，然而現階段只能將他暫時住院觀察。該地區剛受到颶風無情的摧殘，基礎設施仍在恢復中，因此更令阿布感到不安。為了解救朋友，阿布進城向朋友們借錢籌資；而被留在醫院過夜的安南，獨自面對病房裡巨大的闇夜幻影，長夜漫漫與自己的心魔交戰，不禁懷疑自己是被朋友丟下不管，兩人友誼的關係在此面臨嚴峻的挑戰。 幽魅懾人的光影，殘敗破朽的病房，透過細節的重重堆疊，鋪陳出近乎驚悚片的戲劇張力。醫院在本片彷彿成為受詛不詳的場域，出現多次的口罩、病床，以及對於未知疾病的恐懼，瀰漫於無形之中，在疫情仍在全球延燒的此刻，看起來都令人觸目心驚。導演除了呈現個人面對疾病的徬徨無力，也對緬甸的醫療資源分配不均，提出深刻批判。 Fearing for his friend's health, Maung Bhone takes Aung Naing to their local health center. They are both from a remote village area that suffered from cyclone Nargis and the area is still under the effects of the storm. Aung Naing is in poor health, suffering from serious respiratory symptoms. The nurses and doctors insist that Aung Naing has to be sent to a well facilitated hospital to cure his health problems. This chain of events set off a journey for Maung Bhone to find money to help his friend while Aung Naing spends harrowing night, haunted by the thoughts of being left alone by himself.
