老闆賽維特在深夜裡開車回家，不慎在滂沱大雨中撞死了人。驚魂甫定的他，立即打電話叫醒他的司機尤波，替這起意外命案頂罪。由於正值老闆競選之際，老闆若出了事，尤波也會跟著丟工作，被迫一肩扛起刑責的尤波，代替老闆入了獄，並交代妻子哈瑟不要將實情告訴兒子。
沒想到尤波一入獄，老闆便勾引起了他的妻子…。
本片錯綜的人物關係、充滿衝突的戲劇張力，彷如一把垂懸桌邊的利刃，教人膽顫心驚。一個駕車肇事的老闆，一個替人頂罪的男子，一個情慾出軌的女子，一個目睹真相的學生，僅僅四個簡單角色，就將欺瞞、貪婪、癡迷、情慾，放縱到不堪收拾之局面，無疑是錫蘭最具野心、最挑逗人性的極品，也不負眾望在當年一封坎城影帝。
A family dislocated when small failings blow up into extravagant lies battles against the odds to stay together by covering up the Truth... In order to avoid hardship and responsibilities that would otherwise be impossible to endure, the family chooses to ignore the Truth, not to see, hear or talk about it. But does playing "Three Monkeys" invalidate the Truth of its existence?

導演介紹
努瑞．貝其．錫蘭，1959年出生於伊斯坦堡。陰霾低壓，疏離冷漠，卻滿載生活的厚度，是錫蘭獨特的味道，常以長鏡頭帶出其作品之層次。曾以《遠方》榮獲2003年坎城影展評審團大獎，2014年以《冬日甦醒》榮獲坎城影展金棕櫚獎。2023年《關於枯草》為其最新作品。 Nuri Bilge CEYLAN was born in Istanbul in 1959. Having begun his artistic career as a photographer, he has made several internationally acclaimed films, including Three Monkeys, which won Best Director at 2008 Cannes. Winter Sleep was awarded Palme d'Or at the 2014 Cannes. About Dry Grasses is his latest film.
