Wan-lu is a naive and carefree young woman raised in the family of a professor. She is doted on by her childhood friend, Yu-lan. However, Wan-lu falls in love with Meng Chiao but their romance is thwarted by his mother. Wan-lu also learns that she is the illegitimate daughter of a club hostess. In despair, she decides to marry Yu-lan, who has always supported her. But Meng Chiao will not abandon his pursuit of Wan-lu.

導演介紹
陳鴻烈（1943-2009），出生於上海，起初因飾演武俠片中的反派而出名，後以年輕人為題材，拍攝了第一部電影《狼吻》，又恰逢知名小說家瓊瑤投資拍攝，陳鴻烈便提出以武俠電影拍攝文藝片的新觀念，深受瓊瑤認同，因而成為了《我是一片雲》的導演。 Chen Hung-lit was born in 1943 in Shanghai. He was an actor and director, known for his directorial works Two Graves to Kung Fu (1974), Cloud of Romance (1977), Interlude on Rails (1978) and his appearance in King HU’s Come Drink with Me (1966).
